ReadyNAS 312 AD admin account permissions question

Afternoon all

We have a few ReadyNAS 312's in our offices and are trying to configure Active Directrory. The account we are attempting to use is just a standard active directory user account that was created just for this and will not be used anywhere else.

I know I have NetBIOS, DNS, server address etc all set up correctly, but for some reason, we keep receiving an "error joining the domain" message. Does the account we are using need to have more than standard user permissions?

    dallc,

    Welcome to the community!

Not sure if you've seen the following guide here but it might help.

Please make sure as well that the ReadyNAS is in sync with the AD server by doing the following:

    1. Go to System > Overview > Device
    2. Click the gear icon to the right of the Device Time field.
    3. Remove the values on the Server 1 and 2 fields.
    4. Type the IP address of the AD server on Server 1.

If it's still the same issue, please PM me the system logs which you can download by going to System > Logs then click Download Logs.

    Regards,
