ReadyNAS 312 fan replacement (Noctua NF-A9 FLX)
Hello, I have decided to replace the stock fan of my Readynas 312 with Noctua NF-A9 FLX. I have installed it successfully and it works just fine, but after a few minutes (random?), the fan stops ...

I suppose you are talking about the first one (non PWM but that can go down to 350 rpm). I hope it will work this time and that it will keep low temp...
For now I put back the stock fan because even when setting min rpm to 800 in system.conf the fan stops after a few minutes. In performance tab, it showed 700-1000 even though it should be static rpm (Readynas varies volts?).
The specification page says the first one is three-wire and can be controlled via PWM. "Min. Rotational Speed (PWM, +/-20%) 350 RPM". The second is a 4-wire PWM.
Since they seem to use the tach output, however, Netgear most likely controlles it via voltage reduction.
