ReadyNAS 314 running slowly after 6.4.0 upgrade
Since upgrading my 314 to 6.4.0 it's been running very slowly taking about 30 seconds to login to the admin page. Sometimes it doesn't even load it. Also AFP/TimeMachine connections are now very in...

Netrage2 I dont know if this will help you but we were having very similar problems.
I managed to get on the web interface for about 10 minutes without it dropping out. In those 10 minutes i managed to delete some of the snapshots and set the snapshot schedule to never.
This did not solve the problem completly but it did give me longer on the web interface to give me time to delete the remaining snapshots.
At first the 316 was still unusable but the next morning it was accessible, it wasnt sluggish and I have been using it as normal again for the last 5 days.
So basically try and delete any snapshots you have on there and remove any snapshot schedule. Although it means that you wont have any snapshots, it does mean that you can at least use your NAS until Netgear release some sort of fix for this.
I hope that helps you.

Thats interesting as my first login time was around 10 minutes as well. I used the time to pull some important files off the drive and delete around 1TB of data that I dont need but then it dropped out.
How are you removing the snaphots, I have never removed them before and given I only have a few minutes to do it I would welcome your technique.

Im not very technical im afraid but you just need to go to 'Shares' > 'Timeline'
Then just click on the little grey arrows on the time line to delete. It is quite a painful process but it seems to have worked for me. If you do a search for deleting snapshots, there will be a more detialed method than what I have just described. I did have to do it in a couple of attempts but finally managed to get rid of them all.
Also make sure you set the snapshot schedule to never otherwise it will keep adding snapshots.

BennyKindok I will give it a try but I have a bucket load of data with snapshots so it could take a while and several force reboots. I will let you know what happens.
Did you also have the inability to reboot/shutdown issue or did your device reboot ok?

Yea it took me a few goes as well.
Rather than do a load of force re-boots, i found that leaving the unit over night and in the morning it would be ok for a while until basically the snapshot schedule was due to kick in again. Thats when I think it has a problem. I am unsure as to what effect a load of force re-boots would have. It surely cant be good for it though.
Yea same issue with re-booting/shutting down. It would just hang and wouldnt do anything! apart from tell me on the display that it would see me soon!
FYI, i have a 316 not a 314 but I cant imagine there is much difference.
