ReadyNAS 316 Internal Transfer Speed
Hi,
I've just installed my ReadyNAS 316 and have it running on OS 6.1.4.
When I transfer files from my PC via GB lan, the speeds are as expected from HDD to the ReadyNAS, around 20-70MB/s.
However when I'm transferring files from one Shared folder on the ReadyNAS to another on the ReadyNAS, the speeds are much slower, less than 10MB/s.
I would have expected them to be much faster if I'm transferring within the NAS?
Am I wrong, or is there something I'm missing?

- chirpaLuminaryWhen you drag/drop files among shares, you are actually it to your PC then back again.
If you connect as the 'admin' user, where you see the whole 'data' share, you could then drag/drop inside that share, and it would move as you expect. - chirpaLuminaryActually, on the newer OS6 systems, each share is a sub-volume, as noted in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=73172. Look in that thread for some tips.
