ReadyNas 422 with 6.10.7
ReadyNas 422 with 6.10.7, I have errors joining domain (import failed).
Is anyone at Netgear ever going to fix this issue. I've tracked it back to 2012 and the same issues are still coming up. Is no one working on this yet? The "official" documentation is wrong, please fix it.
I somehow managed to get this NAS joined to my domain. I don't really know how because I repeated the steps with the same info numerous times. And suddenly I was connected. Suddenly is wrong, 6 hours later it magically connected. I had to manually set permissions for all of the users in the domain because the import never worked.. When I finished that task a few showed up ii the USERS page. And then they disappeared an hour later. Luckily the shares still work.
Is anyone willing to share their success story of joining a recent Netgear NAS to a Server 2019 std domain and successfully importing the user accounts? I need details of how you did it so I can go back over what I did again. I'm not getting a good feeling with this setup. Sadly I did this same task for another customer in March 2020 and it worked flawlessly. Different firmware for sure, but is the new version 6.10.7 really bad?
