ReadyNAS 424 - random permissions issues in subfolders
Hi all,
We have a share setup on a ReadyNAS 424.
We want to have a user with full R/W access to all files and subfolders, outside of the admin group.
We have created a User group and added the user to that group.
In the Share permissions, under Network access and File access, we have set the user and user group to have full R/W access.
In addition, from Windows Explorer (logged into the share as admin), we have granted full R/W access to the user.
Despite all of this, we encounter frequent Read Only issues when logged into the share as the intended R/W user - files will not save, new files cannot be created, new folders cannot be created.
The issue seems to occur in subfolders only - the root folder appears to be fine.
It also occurs in random folders - seemingly not all of them, as some folders do have R/W access.
What am I missing?

Try resetting the network permissions on each shares. That will re-apply the permissions to all the files/subfolders in the share.
The task will be done in the background; there will be a notification (and a log entry) when it completes.
