ReadyNas 6.2 (NAS locks up entirely)

Clearly it shouldn't just hang (ever), and it might well not be load related.
If you disable bitrot protection, then CoW is enabled when snapshots are taken, and disabled right afterwards.
I'd probably disable both bitrot and snapshots, and see if anything changes. If it still hangs, I'd delete all existing snapshots (at least the automatic ones) and defrag/rebalance - and see if that changes anything.
