Thanks for your reply. I've been coming around to the same conclusion re editing the track titles. Most of my music comes from CDs that I own which I ripped using Nero - some years back. That did not put track numbers at the beginning of the track titles.
Recently I've ripped a few more CDs using Exact Audio Copy, and I see that it has put track numbers at the beginning of the track titles. I'll check to see if EAC can easily tag my existing MP3s. If not, does a suitable program for track title editing come to mind?
I'm a little concerned that if I install another server on the ReadyNas Duo, I might find that I introduce other problems. At least I can currently play my music from the NAS - dont want to sabotage that!!
