If you are careful you shouldn't make an "accident" like this (there's a big difference between holding the reset button in for about 5 seconds and 30 seconds, it takes effort to keep the reset button pressed in) and if you are prepared and you make a mistake the 10 minute window is plenty of time to abort the factory default before any harm is done.
Newer models have a better boot menu where accidents like this are less likely. In future I hope you backup regularly.
