Now in my NAS share i see an admin folder, a c folder and a home folder. Any idea how to get rid of these as they just appear like clutter if nothing else.
This exact same problem has happened to me. I spent quite some time on the phone to Tech Suppport and they couldn't offer a solution. Their only suggestion was that maybe I had a virus which didn't make a lot of sense to me. Anyway I did a full scan with the latest definitions but as I thought, everything was clear.
Weird thing is, the folders only show when going thorugh Windows Explorer. If I browse through RAIDar, the extra folders do not show.
I have deleted all except the folder "c". But "admin" and "home" still appear in Windows Explorer. Even though they appear in WE, they can't be opened and I get an error message saying they can not be accessed. I have tried every possible combination of file access privilages. I have rebooted the computer and powered off the NAS. No luck.
Also I can no longer access the backup share even though it shows in both Windows and RAIDar. Tech Support suggested I try setting up a test folder. Which I did. I then deleted it but it still shows in WE. And yes, I can't access it.
I am using Windows 7 and I am the sole user of the NAS. It is cabled to the computer via a switch.
Any suggestions would be most helpfull.
Thanks in advance.
