Readynas duo v1 + neotv550 no streaming
I use a readynas duo v1 with my media files, connected to my network. My hd player is the neotv 550. It used to work very well, but suddenly, it doesn't work any more. Indeed the ntv550 is not able to...

There are two ways. One is to create a test share, put a video into it, and configure the NTV550 to use it.
A quicker thing to try is to rename the media share (say to media1) and then rename it back (on the NAS).
Perhaps after that you could also reset the permissions of the files. There is a procedure (A second option...) here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=69847&p=387494#p387494
Open your browser and enter http://x.x.x.x where "x.x.x.x" is the IP address of the NTV. There are a variety of controls there, but the main thing right now is to make sure you can reach it.

You'd first need to enable DLNA on the NTV system/advanced settings menu
After that press home, and choose "Browse Folders".
If you see "aA List all shared folders" on the right, then press aA (otherwise known as Subtitle).
DLNA servers should appear that the bottom of the list - the folder icon will say "dlna" and instead of seeing "server/folder" you will see "hostname:Readynas xxx".
As usual, the up arrow is the quickest way to navigate to the bottom of the list.
If you don't see it, try the control to rescan the network (labeled as "rotate" on the remote - at the bottom).
