Available funds is usually an issue :) Twin units can help, I wasn't meaning to dismiss that idea.
If you just want to add a newer 2-bay unit with similar features (and better performance), you should look at the RN102. You can find used equipment, but of course you are taking chances there. A used NV+ v1 would take your older 750GB disks w/o data loss (assuming they were from the duo).
