ReadyNAS DUO v2 (arm 5.3.5) Windows and UNIX File Permission

I continue to unhappily report that version 5.3.7 (arm) does not fix this problem. Permissions are not being automatically set for group write access. I continue to need to use chmod to fix new directories when they are created by one member so others can use it as well. This is a pain:
1) Log in as root
2) "cd" to root directory of shares you want to work this way
3) correct file permissions by entering:
chmod -R 770 *
