These shares are what you call "Home shares". Unfortunately, setting user or share quotas is unavailable for this model. You can check the latest user manual available for ReadyNAS v2.

This is described briefly in the software manual on page 47: http://www.readynas.com/download/documentation/UM/RAIDiator5-3_Home_SW_en_Nov711.pdf
When you create a new user, a private home share is created for that user. This private home share is visible only to the that user and the system administrator.
The other ReadyNAS platforms have configuration controls to prevent these shares from being created, or to set a quota on them. I don't own a v2, but I don't believe that feature ever made it into the v2 firmware.
