ReadyNAS Duo v2 iSCSI OS6?
I'm wondering if there is any way of using iSCSI with this model or installing OS6?

- Marto731AspirantCharles,
My initial reaction, without checking, is that iSCSI is not supported on the home units.
Loading OS6 is at your own risk. Have the data backed up. - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI did check, and iSCSI is not listed in the v2 software manual: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ ... 5Sep12.pdf
People have installed OS6 on x86 legacy platforms, but AFAIK no one has done it on a V2. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredReadyNAS OS 6 ARM devices use a newer ARM architecture than the Duo v2 did. I don't think it's possible to load OS6 on the Duo v2.
- CharlesRGuideThanks. I was hoping there was a way to activate iSCSI as I saw it wasn't natively supported. I ran across a great deal on a new 2110 (1TB drive) and couldn't resist as it was roughly the price of the drive itself.
I installed my 3TB Red drive in it and it appears to run like a champ. I was using iSCSI with the 102/104 units for recordings via Windows Media Center. I ended up simply installing the 1TB drive in the WMC PC and I'll use it for the recordings.
Regarding OS 6 oh well... at least my drive(s) will spin down with OS 5. :?
