ReadyNAS for PLEX...
Hi, I was wondering what cheap NAS units would be compatible for 720p streaming with PLEX media server.
Any of the NAS (including the RN102 and RN104) will stream HD. Plex runs fine on my RN102.
The challenge is not HD, it is when you need real-time transcoding - either because the media file is not compatible with your player, or because you have insufficient bandwidth. If you need real-time transcoding, you are moving out of "cheap", and into RN5xx and Pro territory.
