Yep, definitely tried that. Tried with the 1 remaining good disk and also tested with a brand new one. RAIDar says no disks detected and the NAS shows no green lights for bay 1, 2 or activity.

Is the other NAS also a ReadyNAS? If so, which model?

      O.K. So moving the disk across to the other NAS isn't an option.
