ReadyNAS NV+ cannot login to Admin, but share access via mapping is okay
Sorry, for this repeated topic, but I could not find an answer in previous threads. I have access to my shares via mapped network drives, but I cannot get the Admin page pr frontview to login. I am...

If you haven't logged into the admin page recently, the user name is "admin". Though its a long shot, you might try using "netgear1" as the password (that is the NV+ default, and it is conceivable that your attempt to reboot included an OS reinstall).
Did you ever enable ssh? Also, have you seen any dropped connections to the NAS data (loss of access to your mapped drives)?
BTW, I am still using my NV+ and a duo v1, so I do understand your desire to keep using them.

OMG. I didn't think it was possible, but the netgear password seems to work. I don't know how my shares work with the change in password. However, although it seems to log me on, I do not get a usable web page. all of the images and links seem to be broken. Any advice? I tried it in Chrome and IE. Maybe it is dues to compatibility, or McAfee firewall??? Can you help?

If you can access shares, the first step is to copy off the data. If you haven't done that, you should do it right away.
One the web access issue - start by clearing the browser cache, and disabling any internet security software that might be running.
4.1.14 is current firmware, and it should work with the up-to-date chrome, IE, and Firefox.

i cleared the Chrome cache and disabled my firewall byt all I see is broken links. What else do I need to do? My RAIDar says I am running 4.1.14.

Copy off the data first, since keeping it safe is the first priority.
Then you have the option of doing a factory reset on the NAS, and then restore the data. You also have the option of per-incident support.
