I am saving my data as we speak to my other NAS Drive. But it takes quite some time because there are many many gigabytes of data. Until that copy is complete I can't try the factory reinstall. I will keep you posted.

It does take a long time (unless it is an incremental backup), so I'm glad its already underway.
Okay. So, I performed a factory reset, and now I cannot see the drive at all. It appears on my network, but it refuses the connection from both IE and Chrome. I cannot map to the drive because it will not accept the default password for admin. What do you suggest, now??
Correction. I did not actually perform a factory reset. Evidently, it was only a memory test. I guess I didn;t hold the power button down long enough. Here is a stupid question. Do I hold the reset button in for 30 seconds or just the power button after I hit the rest? I have been holding both in, but maybe that is why I didn't get the factory reset option.

You can also zero the disk drives, and power up - the NAS will do a factory install automatically if the disks are unformatted.
