ReadyNAS NV+ copy of VMWare Fusion VMs SLOW!

I am running RAIDar 4.1.4 on the mac (for what that is worth LOL)
and on the NAS:
Model: ReadyNAS NV+ [X-RAID]
Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.14 [1.00a043]
Memory: 256 MB [2.5-3-3-7]
Volume C: Online, X-RAID, 2 disks, 16% of 1841 GB used
and on the NAS:
Model: ReadyNAS NV+ [X-RAID]
