ReadyNAS NV+ just keeps rebooting & rebooting..
For 3 or 4 days now this NAS reboots,Checks FS, completes booting where I can access the files (4 2T HDs about half full) but than in the morning I see it booting again,
which takes hours before coming to rest. Checked the logs: I see "Volume scan found and corrected errors. RAID sync started on volume C". Health of the system looks good.
Do I have a HD failing? Which log do I look in to narrow it down?

- markwollGuideIn Frontview Status => Health , check the Smart+ button for each drive and look for reallocated sector count and other error count.
If the number of reallocated sectors is more than 100 that would be your problem drive especially if the count is going up.
Normally you would see that in the Status => Logs page at some point too.
If you download All logs from the Status => Logs ( upper right corner ) There is a fs_check log that shows info from the last file system check as well as more disk smart data.
That is a few things, diagnostics log may show some. - vandermerweMasterEven if the smart information is normal, in this situation I would power down, remove one disk at a time and test each with vendor tools long or extended tests.
- WabbitAspirantThanks for the quick response. After rebooting on its own 5 days in a row,it seems to have settled down. I checked the Smart+ info on all 4 drives. 0 errors. 0 errors on read & writes.
Checked the fs_check log, all good there too. Damn mystery. Just gonna let to run & see if it reappears. Think I'll also order afew replacment HDs, just in case. Replaced the power supply
board last year, but no problems afterwards.
