ReadyNAS NV+ spare chassis--any prep needed?

I recently upgraded my NV+ from 4x1TB to 4x2TB and it went swimmingly well. Picked-up a spare chassis off'n eBay, and after doing a Factory Reset (which cleared-up an ERR: Bad firmware boot issue) I upgraded the thing to 4.1.16, but otherwise all the settings are as out-of-box including e.g. login creds of 'admin' and 'netgear1'. These with a spare drive I had here. One 1TB drive.

Is that all I need to do so that if my primary chassis fails, I need only plug-in the 4 drives from the failed chassis and all my Settings are intact?

Simply put: Are all the settings that make my NV+ unique on the HARD DRIVES?

Yes, everything is on the hard drives.

The only caveat is that if your source system were running different 4.1.x firmware, then the migration process would upgrade (or downgrade) the firmware to the version in the destination flash.  But both of yours are running 4.1.16, so that is not a factor in your case.
