ReadyNAS NV+ stuck booting...

One possibility is that another disk might not be working.
I suggest powering the NAS down, and re-inserting the disk. Then boot up, again skipping the file system check. If the system boots and you have access to Frontview, then download the full log zip file from the logs page. Then if you have access to the data, you should back up anything you care about to another device.
Another path is to power down the NAS, and then test the disks in a Windows PC using vendor tools. If you do this, label the disks as you remove them, so you can return them to the proper slots. You can connect the disks to the PC with either SATA or a USB adapter/dock. Windows won't mount them, but the vendor tools will find them. Use Seatools for Seagate, WD's Dashboard utility for Western Digital. There is a short test (couple of minutes) that you can run first. If that passes, run the full non-destructive disk test.
Thank you for your reply, since my last message the box is now "Resyncing volume" and has been for a significant amount of time (without Disk 1)
Would you suggest leaving this or rebooting and doing the disk scans?
