ReadyNAS NV+ syslogd taking 100% CPU
Hi - I've got a Sparc-based ReadyNAS NV+ that I've had for years. Currently running RAIDiator 4.1.14; 4 x 2TB drives in Raid-X configuration, with about 300G/5.5T free. Lately, the NAS box ...

SMART stats look okay. I can't check syslog without rebooting / reinstalling the OS, which clears syslog.
I'll run top/tail next time I reinstall to see what happens.

Please send me your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig).

Logs sent in email.
I'm not opposed to a factory reset or back-revving the firmware if I need to -- the device was very, very stable on the previous of firmware that I was running. I've only had trouble in the last few months, since I upgraded to RAIDiator 4.1.14.
Thanks for your help.

That log zip is incomplete. It only goes up to httpd_errors.log
I can see the data volume is getting very full and I wonder if your WD20EARS disk might be failing. Are you able to power down the ReadyNAS and remove that disk, hook it up to your PC and test it using WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics?

Sent new logs; your server rejected, so I sent a Google Drive link.
The data volume is getting full, but still has ~300G free, if I recall. I can pull a drive and hook it up to my desktop machine, but I don't have anything that runs Windows. Does the WD utility come on bootable media, or is there a Linux version?
Thanks.
