ReadyNAS NVX: External Disks not recognized and no volume expansion
When I bought my NVX I put in 2x2TB Seagate Barracude drives. I'm using the default NVX RAID configuration settings and have the latest firmware installed.
I just bought two new 2TB Seagate Barracude drives (same ones) and put them in the 2 empty slots.
I see a "checking disk 3" message and it goes away on the NVX display, but it never increased my storage another 2TB. In Raidiator it only show check marks for my initial drives I installed. And the NVX has lights on for all 4 drives.
Shouldn't with the default XRAID settings automatically increase my volume to 4TB with 4TB backup. Even if the new drives I put in are the same size? Any ideas why I'm not getting volume expansion?

When expanding with 2 new HDD's should I install and let expand one at a time? Or is it ok to install both HDD?

It would add one disk at a time to the array.
It will be interesting to see what your logs have to say.
