Do another factory default.
This time open RAIDar (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20684/), click setup, choose X-RAID2, tick the dual-redundancy option and confirm your choice. You will have 10 minutes to do this. If you don't the NAS will choose for you, which may be single-redundancy again.
