ReadyNAS Pro - Wont grab IP after power outage

Greetings!

I had my power go out a few weeks ago and now my ReadyNas Pro does not grab an IP. I did an 'OS - Reinstall' reset and still it doesn't grab an IP. I have a checked the line and used a known good cable that a NV+ sitting right next to the Pro has no issues with.

Could the Ethernet ports been fried during with the outage?

How do I do any further testing to validate the problems and fix it? Perhaps I just need to send it in... Suggestions?

Thanks!

George T

Have you tried a direct-connection (connecting an ethernet cable directly between the Pro and your PC)?
  • No I have not tried that yet..

Are you referring to just taking a standard (not crossover) Ethernet cable and plugging in to a available Ethernet port on a PC?

Just tried it with a standard cable and no link lights on either the Nic on the PC or the ReadyNas Pro. Neither ReadyNas Pro or PC reported a connection

If that is a known working ethernet cable then it definitely sounds like your ports are fried.
  • Crud..

Well I guess I better check with Netgear to see what it will cost to fix...

Probably isn't a very modular board in there..
