ReadyNas Pro 6 - upgraded fans sound like jet engine
Running OS 6.7.5 took the plunge and upgraded like williams_nest: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/CPU-and-Fan-upgrades/td-p/948507 and walshlink: https://community.netgear.com...

Thats odd ????
Mine is still solid as a rock. Had some fan problems at higher OS than 6.5, but now I have upgraded - first to 6.7.4 - and a few days ago to 6.7.5
The system has run 24/7 ever since the upgrade 3 years ago except maybe for less than 10 days.
I'm running with the fan setting at "Balanced" which gives me higher system temperature (around 60c) but both fans well below 1000rpm.
Drives are just below 40c, core 1 is around 50c, core 2 is around 55c, cpu is below 60.
It must be your system fan that is making the noise.
Are you sure the system fan is correctly connected / working correctly?
