Your symptom sounds like you are trying to boot an OS6 recovery USB. For legacy units updated to OS6, you have to use an OS4.2.x style USB recovery key but re-name the OS6 image file as if it's an OS4.2.x one.

Not convinced a USB recovery was the right move.
Lots of possible causes here, including a failing PSU or a problem disk.
Have you tried booting normally with the monitor connected? Any clues there?
