Your symptom sounds like you are trying to boot an OS6 recovery USB. For legacy units updated to OS6, you have to use an OS4.2.x style USB recovery key but re-name the OS6 image file as if it's an OS4.2.x one.

Tried Raidar and shows up ok.
Looked up your reply to another post :-) and can login via telnet now. any commands to run to give an idea or can i flash from linux iteslf?

I don't think this is the OS. Did you download the log zip from RAIDar? It would be useful to get them.
I'd start with rnutil chroot to mount the OS partition and chroot.
Then I'd use smartctl to test each of the disks. I'd start with the short test, and then run the long one. This will take quite a while, but I think it is important to rule out a disk failure.
I would then try to manually mount the data volume. Details on that depend on the expansion history.
