ReadyNAS Pro 6 install not allocating all available space
Two issues: Win 8.1. Six 4TB HGST Deskstar NAS HDs. Connected via Ethernet to router. I can see it fine on the network. X-RAID2 only allocates 8.1TB (RAID 0 allocates 10). 1.673 TB each drive....

Well a factory reset should not do anything to the firmware version once it's been updated. Are you doing your factory resets using the boot menu?
What happens if , after setup with one disk ( factory default using boot menu) , you hot add one of the other disks to bay 2 ?
Also perhaps hook all the drives up to a PC and delete any existing partitions on them before trying anything else.
I must say that the capacity being allocated to each disk is unusual. I am wondering whether there is a compatibility issue with the hgst nas drives.
