No. The original XRAID didn't allow mixed sizes of drives. XRAID2 added that.

Single/Dual redundancy is something different. You would have selected adding a drive for redundancy. The volume page should tell you if you have dual redundancy (e.g., RAID-6 XRAID2). Dual redundancy provides protection against 2 drive failures, so the volume size ends up 4x2TB in your case.
Agreed, there is nothing odd in the SMART stats.
