I will run the memory check, and even re-seat the modules. WD Data Lifeguard tools will do a quick self-test to gather and verify the data lifeguard information contained on the drive, but I am sure it will show all is fine similar to what i posted above.the extended test will do a full media scan to detect bad sectors, but i would expect this to be seen from the behavior reported from the readynas. Does being an older serial number suggest a revision to the hardware with known concerns/issues? Or are you implying one should be aware of the impending death/malfunction of aging electronic components? Is a motherboard replacement an option, what's does a replacement motherboard cost? The power supply has already been replaced.
