It is an older unit, that's all.
Hardware can fail at any time, but a good first step would be to rule out e.g. bad memory (you have double the stock memory installed) and ruling out a bad disk.
The NAS shouldn't randomly reboot like this.
Another possibility could be e.g. a failing power supply.
