ReadyNAS Pro rebooting and resyncing, with file copy hangups and other issues
I have been using a ReadyNAS Pro RNDP6350-100NAS for many years as a home music server (Logitech Media Server) and backup for my PC and data files. Firmware is 4.2.30. It has not been 100% st...

The battery provides power to the real-time clock (RTC) when the NAS is not otherwise powered. That won't be causing your problems.
Can you post the SMART stats for the ST32000644NS?
Also, can you download the log zip file, and look in disk_usage.log? Please post the line that starts with /dev/md0

ATA Error Count 0I asked about this because there was a log snippet above that indicated command timeouts with this disk model (though it thought the disk was in slot 6).
Perhaps look at the remaining disks, just to make sure there is nothing off.

This is high, but doesn't appear dangerously so. Do you have add-ons installed on the NAS? If so, which ones?

StephenB,
Yes, Disk 6 was formerly an ST32000644NS that had many command timeouts. I replaced it with a 4TB Seagate as part of the recent upgrade.
The only Add-on is Logitech Media Server.

Based on your logs and the fact that you said you were unaware of all the reboots (thus no operator intervention involved), your NAS is spontaneously rebooting without logging an error (meaning it doesn't know there was one or couldn't write it to the log before the reboot occurred). AFAIK, the NAS has no watchdog timer that would do that if it locked up (if it did, there would be fewer lock-ups reported here).
I had one that did that that was bad RAM, but you've checked that. A power problem certainly could do something like that as well. Unfortunately, it's likely the RAM or CPU power, which are regulated on the motherboard. But it all does start with the power supply (the 4-pin square connector).
Do you have a spare ATX supply handy, or one you can borrow from a computer for a few days? If so, you could hook it up externally (you've already found the connectors) and see if the NAS becomes more stable. If it does, then a replacement supply is likely the fix.
The only thing about a problem like yours, where you need to run it a few days, is that you also need to keep the airflow going. You'll need to get a bit creative with putting it only partly back together and then sealing the gaps with masking tape.
