Readynas Pro stuck on boot

Turned off the nas, reinserted disk 1.
It powered up but didn´t seem to see the "new" disk, still said Volume C is unprotected.
Next, put in the disk while the system was up, now it is resyncing volume.
Hoping this means the system will again be redundant when it finishes
