Readynas pro2 automatically starting up when power supply plugged into it

I'm not sure what's happening. Doesn't matter if the ethernet is connected or not. Upon plugging it in, it automatically starts up. Powering it down, it stays down with the routine 2 presses of the power button.

  • Yep, that's the way it works.  The documentation on this is just wrong -- all ReadyNAS except ones to which you have direct access to the BIOS and can change the setting there, will power up when power is applied, not resume at the last-known power condition.
