ReadyNAS snapshot folder deleted its contents
I am using a ReadyNAS RN31400 with 10.7 TB of storage and have multiple shares that are being backed up in snapshots. I discovered today that one of the snapshot folders has deleted all of its contents; the other snapshot folders are unaffected. When I try to create a manual snapshot of the problematic share I receive an error message 28003020000 "Failed to create snapshot xxx for share or LUN 'yyy'". I am able to make manual snapshots of my other shares no problem. No new automatic snapshots are being taken for this share either. It had been working fine for the last 2 years.
I recently had to clear out some log files from /var/log since root was nearing full capacity and am unsure if this may have caused any issues. We also updated to firmware version 6.4.0 last week.
So my questions are:
Is there a way to restore the deleted contents of the snapshot folder?
How can I get the ReadyNAS to resume automatic backups for this share?
Mysteriously, the config file for that share was empty. I repopulated the config file for it and then the NAS was restarted and now appears to be working alright.

Yes the snapshots are now working correctly again and the missing snapshots from the last 2 years have even reappeared.
Thanks for the help!
