ReadyNAS Ultra 2 - Forgotten admin pass, OS-reinstalled, only Shares and Password visible
Hi,
I have an ReadyNAS Ultra 2 which has been stowed away during a move. Now when I start it up it refuses to let me log in to the NAS, I can only see "Shares" and "Password" tabs and it refuses to let me login with my prior credentials. So I performed an OS reinstall, but exactly the same phenomena appears.
Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated?

Have you tried to login as
User: admin
Password: netgear1
Also what is Raidar finding?

I did with what I thougt was the default credential, which are not the ones you provided.
In together with Raidar this gave me control over my data again(thanks), now I have other issues to take care of though. Implementing a correct configuration for NTFS that suits my needs since this NAS only has support for SMB1 it seems, and also getting a new drive(one of them are generating more and more errors).
Thanks a lot for the quick help and replies!

IMHO, your best bet in getting past the configuration issue is to consider moving to OS6. It is unsupported by Netgear on legacy hardware, but does work on your Ultra and you can find instructions on how to install it here in the forum. It does require a factory defult, so you need to back up and restore your data.
