ReadyNas Ultra 2, firmware 4.2.30, suddenly starts to create snap-shots.

Have run my ReadyNas for several years.   A couple of months ago it (without my action) created snap-shots of the shares. I have in vain tried several methods to delete them.   I communicate with...

    I spent a lot of time tying to correct the system and I am now fed up with it.

     

    It's time for the sledge hammer!;

    1. Copy all files, 1 TB data, to an external drive.

    2. Factory reset the ReadyNas including flashing the OS from the internal memory.

    3. Re-write the hard drives with zeros and re-format.

    4. Completely new set up of the ReadyNas.

    5. Copy all files back to origin place.

    Finished and ready to go! Problem solved. Case closed!
