ReadyNAS Ultra 2 memory upgrade
What can I trully expect when increasing internal memory of my NAS?
It now has 1 GB RAM.
What are my RAM expansion possibilities?
Kind regards,
Gino

Hello laerg1,
We do not really recommend altering internal components of NAS units but some users do this. I guess you may have to depend on the community members' experience. Please see ReadyNAS Hardware Compatibility board to check other member's posts.

As mentioned by JennC, memory upgrade by user is not supported by NETGEAR.
This is Ultra 2 CPU:
http://ark.intel.com/products/49489/Intel-Atom-Processor-D425-512K-Cache-1_80-GHz
The chip supports maximum of 4GB memory(I think that is for two slots, the Ultra 2 has one slot), so maximum DDR3 800 SODIMM module for Ultra 2 is 2GB
