ReadyNAS Ultra 6 stuck at "ReadyNAS" after degraded mode / failed drive

Thank you so much for your help!
Here's where I am:
- powered down via button on front and removed all drives
- system booted successfully but could not access admin page via http or login via SSH. I could see it via RAIDar and it reported status as "Healthy"; name was incorrect / random / default name
- powered down via button on front and replaced all but the previously-marked-as-bad drive
- system booted successfully but could not access admin page via http or login via SSH. I could see it via RAIDar and it reported status as "Volume default: RAID Level 6, Not redundant; 13.9TB (96%) of 14.5TB used" (ie same as yesterday before I started).
The volumes are now visible on my local computers. I think my next step should be to copy as much data off the NAS as I can while waiting for a replacement disk from Amazon? Or should I add the disk first?
...or something else?

Yes, that is exactly what you should do.
I'd start with files that not replaceable (family photos, videos, other personal documents).
