ReadyNAS2312 Remove Inactive Volumes error

Hi,

We have a ReadyNAS 2312 that is now in this error state.

We are in the process of increasing the size of the drives in the NAS from 10TB to 16TB. Given the size, it takes a while to re-sync. A drive was swapped in bay15 a few days ago. Last night, the site had a power failure. The NAS has been in this error state since. At the time of the power outage it probably had another 12hrs of sync left.

I have tried reaching out to Netgear for support. The NAS is out of warranty and so far, I have not found an option for purchasing more support to get my questions answered. It was a disappointing experience trying to get some basic customer service from Netgear regarding this.

I have seen multiple posts regarding this issue that mention some commands I could run to perhaps rebuild the array, hoping someone can help with this. I have the logs downloaded and have been going through them trying to pinpoint the failure. No luck so far as I'm not an expert at this.

ReadyNAS 2312

version 6.9.6

Thanks!

They appear to be exiting their storage business - all ReadyNAS are end-of-life, ReadyCloud turned off, [aid support no longer available (including their disaster recovery service).  Warranties are of course honored, those will all end for current customers in a year or two.

If you'd like me to take a look, then put the log zip into cloud storage (dropbox, google drive, etc), and send me a download link in a private message (PM), using the envelope link in the upper right of the forum page.  Make sure the link permissions allow anyone with the link to download.

Also - do you have a backup?

I sent you the link, thanks in advance for looking.

There is no backup in place. It's in the works but not there yet. Actually looking for alternatives for ReadyNAS as they appear to be getting out of the market if you(or anyone) has any good recommendations.
