ReadyNASOS 6.9.6

I upgraded to ReadyNASOS 6.9.6 recently, as I do appreciate the idear of an LTS channel https://kb.netgear.com/000049514/ReadyNAS-OS-6-9-Firmware-Update-Channels). One issue I noticed is that my unit still likes to update to ReadyNASOS 6.10.2 upon login (see attachment). I thought that I just will get updates of the LTS-channel.

So what is the deal with the LTS channel or is this simply a bug?

Thanks and regards

Chris

  • Just answard the question to my self :) I had to switch the update channel under System->Settings->Update->Check for Updates (see attachment). Anyhow I would expect that if I install an LTS firmware, as 6.9.6 is, this setting should be changed automatically.

Of course when 6.9.6 was first released, it wasn't LTS - it was just a normal new (stable) release.

Personally I don't think this setting should be changed automatically - it is something that should be intentionally set.
