Recommended Configuration - iSCSI, 3100, ESXi 4.1

I've been having some pretty miserable performance issues with the ReadyNAS 3100 as an iSCSI target for ESXi 4.1 so far.
I'm using this unit as a storage unit for an Exchange 2010 DAG with the 3100 used as the backup server's storage location for virtual disks. However, even on a dedicated switch set aside for iSCSI (jumbo frames enabled throughout), I get frequent errors that the backup server has dropped out of the quorum due to loss of connectivity with the hard drives.
Any suggestions?
