Recover password not working after My Netgear cutover
I haven't logged in in a while to the device interface. Password recovery is setup but not working, maybe due to recent "My Netgear" cut over? Am able to get registered/logged into my.netgear.com, but not the device itself and password recovery fails. Any advice here? Can I reset the device without losing data and set the password again so I can get the most recent firmware going? Thanks
If you mean https://nasname/admin then the username has to be admin with the nas admin password.
If you've forgotten that password you can do an OS reinstall - that will change the password to password and also reset the ip configuration to use dhcp. See pages 23-24 of the manual for the procedure: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/RN%20OS%206%20Desktop%20HW%20UM_15Oct2013.pdf
