Recovered password not working
Hi there,
After owning our router (R6300) for a few years I thought it was time to change the admin password to something more secure than "password." I changed it and set up questions for password recovery, however neither the new password nor old password work. I appear to be tryingthe correct password since it confirms it when I recover it. Hope that makes sense!
Thx! Andrea

If neither work, then you need to reset the router to factory defaut and reconfigure. When you have completed this, you will be able to login with the default password, but make sure you change the both the router default password and the default wifi passphrases. With default passwords and passphrases, it's an open invitation for someone to take over your router, as all these default passwords can be googled.
RE: reset to factory default... If required, you can search for your router's manual here.

- AndreabonaAspirantOk will do. I assumed I would need to reset but figured I'd throw it out there just in case.
Thanks!
