Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk #1, 2, 4.
Hello! Recently we had a drive fail in our ReadyNAS 314. This drive was #3. We replaced the drive, but did not see any messages in the logs about it rebuilding the array. Looking through the logs, the last time we replaced a drive in this system it only started rebuilding after we restarted it. After waiting a couple of hours, we decided to preform a restart. After the restart, we are greeted with the "Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk #1, 2, 4." message. When clicking on System > Volumes, the 3 drives that were working previously (1,2,4) are now colored in red. When going to System > Volume, a "No volume exists" message can be found.
These 3 drives would have been fine if there was a restart without the new drive, so I do not feel like the data has been overwritten. I am wondering if there is a way to recover the volume. I am sending the log files for the NAS as soon as I post this.

Additionally, the replacement drive (#3) was colored gray
- NetcommTutorHello Jenn and Alex! We have decided to recreate the volume. It turned out that our disk 1 had several uncorrectable and pending sectors. The length of time required to clone the drive was too long, so we are sending the second drive back (#1) to get a replacement. Thank you all for your replies!
