Replacing NASDuo by another NAS

If I replace the NasDuo with a new NAS device, can the HDD from the old (4 TB each) unit be directly transferred? Will they retain the data stored on them? Or will I need to do the whole backup again from my pc files?

  • The drive cannot be inserted and recognized when you change ReadyNAS platforms. You can move drive(s) on the same platform (4.2.x x86 to 4.2.x86, 5.3.x ARM to 5.3.x ARM, etc.) You will need to copy the data from the Duo to the new device or from the original source to the new device if this is just backup data.
