Replacing power supply unit
Hi, My machine died after a power brown out (even though it was connected to a UPS) and I bought a replacement (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LPGUUO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc...
Netgear just replaced mine for free since it fell into the range of affected serial #'s that had some known PSU issues. Not sure if they would sell you one - worth a call/email to support. Just be prepared to be escalated to Tier 2 - Tier 1 wasn't so helpful in my case.
Edit: Actually there is a chance my original PSU is still good. The reason I say this is - when I got the new PSU the system still wouldn't power up. I did some more research and found a CMOS reset procedure (applies only to NV apparently) that got me up and running. It's possible if I had tried the CMOS reset with the original PSU, that would have fixed things but I don't know, and I'm not inclined to open up my NV again to test it.
With all that said - if you want to give my original PSU a try, you are welcome to it for the cost of shipping. Weight is about 3 pounds, I'm guessing $10-ish to ship. PM me if interested.
